Follow the steps below carefully to do it:

1. Open Kaspersky settings > Options and uncheck Enable Self-Defense. Click Ok.

2. Exit Kaspersky.

3. Go to Start, open Run, then type regedit and press enter.

4. Under Registry Editor, open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Kaspersky Lab > protected > AVP9 > environment.

5. Find the entry ProductStatus and change Release to Beta.

6. Press OK then open Kaspersky.

7. Under License, Activate beta license then press Next and Finish (Delete any trial keys first if any, as they wont work).

8. Re-enable Self-Defense from options.



9. Now you have 30 days of beta license activated. After every 30 days, simply click Activate Beta (delete the expired beta key first) and enjoy another 30 days Free


Update – How to delete the expired key & activate beta license ?
To delete beta key, open Kaspersky > License Manager and click on the red X (cross) next to the code. Then click on Yes button as shown in below image.



Now click ‘Activate New License’ option and then chose ‘Activate beta license’. Click Next to activate kaspersky.



Update (28 Jan) – As pointed out by most readers, I also got the same error saying ‘key is blocked’. I guess, Kaspersky has finally figured out this loophole and fixed it via updates

Update (29 Jan) – Finally another way is out! Our smart readers ‘Stalin & Mr. Fix it’ have provided a quick and simple solution via comments to use Kaspersky for FREE Check the new procedure below:

1. Delete any license keys first.

2. Disable Self-Defense and Exit kaspersky.

3. Following above steps, change the ProductStatus back to Release in registry.

4. Double click PCID and change the last 3 digits to what ever you want and click Ok.



5. Exit registry editor and restart kaspersky.

6. Select activate trial license and you should now have 30 or 31 days remaining. Repeat this method any time to reset to 30 days.

Creating a windows 7 live CD and login without passwords

A live CD or live DVD is one that contains a complete, functioning and operational operating system that can be run straight off the CD without installing on a hard disk drive first. Because a live CD typically does not alter any operating system or files on the hard drive, they are often used as a medium to carry system repair and data recovery. Nearly every flavor of Linux distributions is available in the live CD/DVD format for new users to test drive.


Now download WinBuilder, unzip the contents and run the WinBuilder executable.





Select the project you want to download – Win7PE, in this case. From the dropdown menu at the top choose ‘Complete’. Click the ‘Download’ button to commence downloading of the necessary files, which should be about 35 MB.
After the download is completed, click on the Source tab and point the ‘Source Directory’ to the folder where you copied the installation files of Windows 7.





Customizing Appearance and Behavior

For customizing the appearance and behavior of the live CD, click on ‘Main Configuration’. Here you can adjust the screen resolution, choose a boot skin, boot manager and language.





To customize Windows Explorer button size and other behavior, expand the folder ‘Shell’ and click on Explorer shell. To change the desktop wallpaper, go into the ‘App’ folder. To customizing the boot screen, expand the ‘Finalize’ and click on the ‘Create ISO’ option.


Creating Bootable USB

If you wish to create a live USB instead of the live CD, expand the ‘Finalize’ folder and check the box “Copy to USB device”.





Finally, click the Play button to begin building the CD. This will take time. The final live CD will be only about 250 MB in size, but you will need at least 512 MB RAM to run the live CD.


The screengrab below shows Windows 7 running entirely from a CD. Applications Opera and Microsoft Paint is open. Total memory footprint is just over 500 MB.



Troubleshooting


It is possible you might run into some problems – I did. The script might fail to run and throw up some error message or the CD may refuse to boot. If that happens, you can go to the forums and ask about your specific problem. But there is an easier way out.

It’s about 64 MB in size and comes with Opera Portable, 7-zip, DirectX, Microsoft Paint, Notepad, Wordpad and other useful programs. In addition, it enables you to apply more tweaks and customization like pin shortcuts to the taskbar and more.






After you have unzipped the contents of the downloaded package, fire WinBuilder and proceed from there. No additional download is necessary, unless you want to add more application. You can also uncheck any application you do not require.

Windows 8 Developer Preview comes included with .NET Framework 4, so you don’t need to install any .NET Framework version on Win8, but to run installed Windows applications and portable ones Windows needs to enable and run .NET framework 3.5.1 which shown by “Turning Windows Features on or off window “with options to accept and cancel the changes.

You will encounter this window every time when you try to run any app, annoying. If you Accept the changes, you’ll be connected to Windows update and required files will be downloaded. But this process continues and never successfully completes as we observed. If you prefer to cancel option, no changes will be mode and the app simply won’t run.
Here is a permanent fix to this.

1. Open Control Panel>Programs>Programs and Features >click Turn Windows features on or Off
2. Select .NET Framework 3.5.1 feature and click Ok, Windows downloads required files connecting to Windows Update

3. After downloading is compete, you’ll be shown “Windows Successfully completed the request changes” message.

That’s it from now on you can run any windows related installed apps even the portable ones without any problem.

Update: Here is how to enable .Net 3.5.1 on offline systems.

All you need is windows 8 DP installation media,

1. First of all create “net35″ folder in C drive.

2.Now open command prompt using Win +R, type and execute the following command line

    xcopy H:\sources\sxs\*.* c:\net35 /s

    where H is DVD drive, it takes sometime for all files to copied you need to be patient.

3.After all files are copied open command prompt with admin privileges and type and execute following command line

Dism.exe /online /enable-feature /featurename:NetFX3 /All /Source:c:\net35 /LimitAccess

Clearing DNS Cache
By clearing DNS you can do this
Type Command Prompt in Start Search, right-click on Command Prompt under Programs and select Run As Administrator.When your computer is running for quite some time, you will notice that it slows down due to idle processes. You can use this method to free up unused RAM and speed up your computer. It requires you to create a desktop shortcut and then open it to clear the memory cache.




Now, type ipconfig /flushdns and hit Enter.





As you can see from the screenshot above, it will show a message that the DNS Resolver Cache has been successfully flushed.

First right-click anywhere on the desktop and select New > Shortcut.



Now enter the following line when asked for location of the shortcut and hit Next:
